These Animals
For four years, These Animals was the embodiment of the phrase “passion project” for me. We formed as a songwriting experiment, and took our time finding our voice and working together to create the music below. The band consists of Greg Baldwin, Jon Rick, Will Whatley, and myself. I co-wrote lots of the songs, played bass, percussion, and sang backing vocals live.
Pages
In February of 2013, These Animals drove all of our recording equipment and instruments up to a cabin on a lake outside of Buffalo, NY and tracked what would become Pages. It was a collaborative effort on all fronts: the engineering and production, creative decisions and edits, were performed by all members of the band. In addition to bass and percussion, I played keyboards and synths.
Souvenir Sessions
Recorded live in the studio, with one-time-member Adam McHeffey (Swear & Shake). Above all, the Souvenir Sessions taught me how to spell “souvenir.”
